Georgia buys new voting machines for 2020 presidential election The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Politics Updated July 30, 2019 By Mark Niesse “Georgia officials awarded a contract for 30,000 new voting machines to Dominion Voting on Monday, scrapping the state’s 17-year-old electronic voting equipment and replacing it with touchscreens that print out paper ballots.

The announcement is a defining moment for Georgia’s elections, reintroducing paper ballots to Election Day voting for the first time since the state converted to electronic ballots in 2002 following the controversial presidential election between Republican George W. Bush and Democrat Al Gore.

Dominion, a Denver-based company, won the contract in large part because it offered Georgia the lowest-cost system among three companies that submitted bids, according to evaluation score sheets. Though ES&S scored higher on the government’s criteria for a replacement voting system, Dominion came out on top when the price of its system was taken into account. Election officials now must quickly install the voting technology before its first statewide test during the March 24 presidential preference primary. The new voting system is expected to be quickly challenged in court by voters who say it remains vulnerable to hacking and tampering, despite the addition of paper ballots.

Dominion Voting, the 2d largest US Voting Machine Vendor, does its programming in Serbia. Its Sr. VP of operations came from an international gaming company called GTech, a former Paul Manafort client. Some of its new systems put votes into QR codes &/or use wireless modems. Almost all of Dominion’s developers and programmers come from Serbia.”

SLOTS REVENUE AMOUNT HAZY ** Company with Rendell ties reporting $7 million less than casinos’ earnings numbers. The Morning Call Matt Birkbeck “Pennsylvania slots regulators want to know why GTECH Corp., which monitors casino revenues for the state, has reported to Harrisburg millions less than the casinos themselves say they are earning….At issue are two sets of numbers given to the gaming board. GTECH has routinely reported to the Revenue Department amounts that are 2 percent less than those reported by the casinos through their individual tracking systems. A GTECH spokesman, Bob Vincent, said the company has not been notified of any problem.GTECH, near Providence, R.I., was selected in March 2005 from 10 bidders to supply and operate the central computer system that will monitor as many as 61,000 slot machines at 14 casinos throughout the state…[2003]And Ken Jarin was hired by Sweitzer and GTECH to lobby the Rendell administration for the contract. Jarin is a partner at Rendell’s former law firm, Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, and was the national finance vice chairman for the Democratic National Committee. He was also a Rendell fundraiser and a member of Rendell’s 2002 transition team… A national sales director, J. “The connection to Randell should provide Democrats no comfort. After accepting this $5k/month-for-no-work position on the board of the Trump protege’s shady Saipan casino in April or May 2016, Democrat Ed Rendell proceeded to repeat Kremlin talking points about HRC, both before and after he hosted the Democratic Convention in PA. Again, former FBI director Louis Freeh is or was also on the board.

Former Trump Executive Investigated by FinCen for His Extremely Profitable Casino in Saipan Best Online Casinos. November 17th, 2016 by April Bergman “Bloomberg News published a story this week stating that FinCen is investigating Mark Brown, described by various news sources as a “Trump protege”, for suspicious financial activity at the Saipan-based casino, “Best Sunshine Live“. The same casino pays cash to a number of political luminaries, including 3 former US governors, as well as former heads of the CIA and FBI. For instance, Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell is paid $5,000 a month by a land-based casino on the island of Saipan. Best Sunshine Live operates on the tiny island of Saipan in the Marianas Islands, which are located in the Western Pacific Ocean. The casino is said to be located between a cellphone repair shop and a laundrymat. It is by no means one of the 21st Century style “integrated resorts” found in Las Vegas, Macau, and Singapore. Despite its location, the casino reported an immense $3.9 billion in turnover in September 2016. according to the own of the casino, Imperial Pacific International Holdings. Imperial Pacific is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE), so it is required to post revenue figures.

Philly.Com’s Reporting on Ed Rendell, the online version of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reported that Ed Rendell (or “Fast Eddy” as they call him) answered questions on allegations of wrongdoing.Ed Rendell said he has been accepting $5000 payments for the past “6 or 7 months” for his role on the advisory council. The former mayor of Philadelphia said he had “did a little due diligence” before agreeing to the arrangement. He added that Imperial Pacific “seemed fine”.

Ed Rendell and Mark Brown

That due diligence appears to have been a conversation with Mark Brown. Rendell said, “I said to Mark, ‘Is this legit?’ He said, ‘Yes.’ I said, ‘Is it a real casino?’ He said, ‘Yes, it is.’” Then the Democratic politician said he trusted Mark Brown. He added, “I relied on my conversation with Mark Brown that it was real. If it proves to be a shell, I’m resigning immediately.

Paterson, Freeh, and Woolsey

Rendell said that former New York Gov. David Paterson, who is a member of the advisory council, pitched him on the deal. Former FBI Director Louis Freeh and former CIA Director James Woolsey also sit on the advisory council. When asked what he had done in his role, Rendell said only that he had recruited another member. He said, “The only thing I did was, I persuaded Haley to sign up,” referring to former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour.”Best Online Casinos
